      Rechtzeitig zum Start des Steven Spielberg / Tom Cruise-Films 'Krieg der Welten' kommt nun eine aufwendige Collector's Box auf den Markt. Die exklusive und limitierte Box enthält alles, was der Fan braucht, in einem prächtigen 'Coffee Table Item'. Die beiden SACDs beinhalten das komplette Original Album im 5.1 Multi-Channel Surround Sound. Für den 5.1 Remix wurden die Original 48 Spur Bänder der 70er sorgfältig restauriert, remixed und remastered. Auf CD 3 sind die besten Club Remixes aus den Jahren 1979 - 2005 zu hören. CD 4 bis 6 präsentieren bisher unbekannte Raritäten, Outtakes und unveröffentlichte Titel der Original Studio Session. CD 6 allein ist Richard Burton gewidmet und umfasst ungekürzt erstmals dessen gesamte Sprachaufnahmen. Die DVD bringt eine brandneue 75 Minuten 'Making Of'-Dokumentation mit rarem Videomaterial und auch einem kleinen Vorgeschmack auf Jeff Waynes geplante animated CGI Version der Geschich- te (FSK 6). Nicht zu vergessen natürlich die herrlichen, farbenfrohen und doch manchmal quälenden Illustrationen im englischsprachigen 80seitigen Booklet. Enthalten sind auch Biographien der beteiligten Künstler und Autoren, alle Texte und eine Entstehungsgeschichte des ganzen genialen Konzeptes.
